Touhou Lostword course of the battle.

Battles are turn based. Your units move depending on the commands you input. All units have spirit points and barriers. You can combine action commands such as shot and spell card with auxiliary commands such as boost, graze, switch and skill. Attack order depends on the agility of the units. The higher the agility, the higher the chance of attacking first. units who attack with spell cards have attack priority.

If you push the auto button on the top of the screen, the battle will be played automatically. However, the units will only attack with Shots. After winning a battle, your player level experience, your units' level experience, and their friendship levels will go up, You will also receive the items that were dropped in battle.

Selecting quit ends the battle and returns you to the explore screen. When you select quit, you only use 2 spirit points. The cost of the units who participated in the battle will not be used.

When all your units run out of HP in battle, you lose the battle. When you lose a battle, you only use 2 spirit points. The cost of the units who participated in the battle will be used.

You can use switch to swap a unit in the front guard with a unit in the rear guard. After a number of turns, you will be able to use switch again. Some passives are activated by using switch on units.

Spirit power is increased by collecting P items. using spirit power allows units to use boost on their attacks. If you use boost on a unit's attack, its power increases. You can use boost for up to 3 levels. Collecting P items increases spirit power. When a unit hits a target, P items appear and are collected by the unit who performed the attack. S items allow a unit to reuse an already used spell card. S items appear when a specific kind of enemy is defeated and have an effect on all front guard units. B items restore 1 layer of a unit's Barrier. B items appear when a specific kind of enemy is defeated and have an effect on all front guard units.

Touhou Lostword attack, defense

Hp represent your units' life points. When your unit receives damage, their HP will decrease. When a unit's HP reaches 0, they will no longer be able to fight in that battle.

There are two attack types: Yin and Yang. This represents the Yang, Yin attack. The higher the number, the higher the Yang, Yin damage inflicted. Yang defence - the higher the number, the lower Yang, Yin damage received.

Agility - this stat determines attack priority.
Cost - the spirit points needed to play a stage.
Accurace - this stat determines the likelihood of a unit's attack hitting its target.
Evasion - determines the likelihood of a unit evading an attack.
Crit stads for critical. This stat determines the likelihood of a critical attack occuring. A critical attack inflicts much more damage than a regular one.
Crit accuracy/ crut evasion - these stats determine the likelihood of a critical attack.
Crit attack/ defense - these stats determine the damage inflicted/received during a critical attack.
Focus - determines the likelihood of receiving an attack.
Shot - there are two kinds of shots: spread shot and focus shot. Spread shots collect more spirit power, while focus shots deal more damage.
Spell card - you can use up to 5 spell cards during battle. A spell card can be used once per stage.
Last world - this attack is a special spell card which is stronger than the others. If a unit uses a last word, they will no longer be able to use their other spell cards, so choose the timing carefully.
Skill - Skills are auxiliary commands that can support you in various ways.
Passive - passives activate automatically during battles.
Ability - are traits unique to each unit that activate automatically in battle.
Elements - sun/moon/fire/water/wood/metal/earth/star are the 8 elements that determine a unit's weaknesses and resistances.

Touhou Lostword graze, barrier

Barrier - when a unit is attacked by an element they are weak to, their barrier is broken. When the last layer of the barrier is broken, the unit receives the Full break status. Units in full break cannot make any moves, and the damage they receive is greatly increased.
Graze - you can activate graze by using Barriers. The graze command can be used up to 3 times per unit per turn. Graze uses 1 barrier layer each time, but the last layer cannot be used for graze.

Units with graze activated will completely evade enemy attacks. 1 graze command can only evade 1 attack. Even if Graze does not activate, the Barrier layer used will not come back.

Break :
When a break occurs, 1 barrier layer is destroyed. An element break occurs when attacked by an effective element. A special type of break called status break occurs when a break destroys a barrier that has a barrier status.

Barrier status: burn - reduces Yin attack and defense. THis status cannot cause your HP to reach 0. Freeze - reduces agility. When the turn starts, it has a chance of inflict a delay effect. paralyze - reduces evasion. When the turn starts, it has a chance of inflict a stun effect. Poison - reduces Yang attack and defense. This status cannot cause your HP to reach 0.

Touhou Lostword full auto

If you push the full auto button on the top of the screen, the battle will be played automatically. However, units will only attack as follows. When it isn't the last wave:
spell cards are used from left to right. When spell cards can no longer be used, Shots are used instead.

During the last wave: every turn, the max boost and graze are used. Every turn, all skills that are available are used. Spell cards are used from right to left. When spell cards can no longer be used, shots are used instead.

The full auto and auto buttons are mutually exclusive. Only one can be activated at a time. If you tap the full auto or auto button when the respective mode is activated, the game will return to manual mode.
